Wedding Photography by Casey Cunningham
When I was putting together this next real wedding board, shot by the oh-so-talented team at Casey Cunningham (featured in our Little Black Book), I was completely blown away. The original board featured detail shots...the invitation, the cake, etc. But the closer I looked, the more I realized that the true beauty of the photographs was in the emotion. The crystal clear, beautifully pure emotion that this bride and groom showed.
Shooting emotion in such an honest and straightforward way is really hard to do...and yet, Casey and Drea Cunningham go above and beyond. They capture the day with a sense of beauty, with a sense of sincerity, with a sense of playfulness. Their work is just lovely. Hey Casey and Drea!
You know you chose a great photographer when you relive the moments you see in the photos when you look at them. I still cry when I see the picture of me when I first saw my father. You are both so amazing and I am so glad I found you! When I first met with you, Casey, I told you the most important thing to me was making sure I had great photos. History

I'm Drea Cunningham, the wife half of the husband and wife team of Casey Cunningham Photography. We are in the Little Black Book of Vendors on the Style Me Pretty website for Raleigh, Charlotte, Charleston and Hilton Head Island and having been back on the East Coast for only two years, we realize that you might not have heard of us.

My husband has been a photographer for ten years, mostly connected with the entertainment industry, and I have been assisting him for the last six years. When we moved back to the South, after having lived in Los Angeles for nearly five years, we wanted to start our own photography company so we could focus on what was meaningful to us and our young family.

Casey assisted wedding photographers since day one and in 2005 we started shooting weddings on our own. We both feel so natural working in the wedding business as our family backgrounds are heavy with service industry and design and specifically for weddings. Casey's father was a restauranteur and caterer and in my family there are priests, wedding planners, florists, caterers, cake makers, and my father was the head of a wedding band for 35 years. Two of my sisters are wedding planners and one of my brothers has his own wedding band.

We also are just very romantic folks who love being a part of a family's big day. We also realize that the impact of our images should last a lifetime and beyond, serving as pieces of magnificent history. I grew up with antique photos of family members on the walls and giant canvases of loved ones so to me, though my family was never "wealthy" or "famous", it felt normal to show respect for your ancestors in that way. Both of us were raised as transplants to the south and we are no strangers to the Low Country.

We truly enjoy our jobs both as photographers and as parents. We look forward to making you part of our family tree.
